Fire Warden Training
Who should attend:
Personnel designated as wardens in any workplace or staff involved in developing emergency evacuation plans
Duration:
2 hours per session
Theory session:
Classroom environment, meeting / training room
Course Details
Theory
- Identify the duties and responsibilities of a Fire Warden (includes Chief Warden).
- Describe the evacuation and evacuee response.
- Describe the action to be taken on hearing the building alarm.
- Identify the fire fighting equipment.
- Identify compatible fire/equipment combinations.
- Confidence in dealing with workplace emergency/hazards
- Understand and execute in-house emergency procedures and requirements
Content
- Emergency Plan Principles
- Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) Structure.
- Emergency Warning Signals and Communication system.
- Emergency/Hazards e.g. Bomb, Cyclone, Chemical, Fire.
- Fire response and extinguisher use
- Induction training for new staff in evacuation.
- Completion certificate for each participant (Individually named)
Note:
On successful completion each attendee will receive a participation Certificate (Individually named).
